The Power That Is Above All Powers

The Power That Is Above All Powers

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

Advancing God’s kingdom on earth is by movement and power of God. Therefore, whilst it is good to be grounded in God’s principles, it is highly important that we fully understand that God’s principles will only come alive in us and become a lot more meaningful to us when we directly encounter His Holy Spirit supernatural powers.

Today in our Christendom, there are several people that has general knowledge of Biblical principles but have never experienced the supernatural power of the God of the Bible. To consider ourselves grounded in principles but lacking working knowledge of Holy Ghost power can in itself be a dangerous thing. A person who has Biblical principles knowledge but is without working knowledge and understanding of God’s power will be most likely sceptical toward genuine manifestations of God’s power. And due to such scepticism, easily disregard or dismiss genuine manifestation of God’s power as unreal or as nothing but a counterfeit.

“Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?

But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils” (Matthew 12:22-24).

As evidenced by the above Scripture, the one mistake Satan indeed desperately wish we endlessly make is to do with dismissing God’s power as evil powers and readily embracing his counterfeit powers as height of manifestation of God’s power. Satan is of course an expert counterfeiter and without Godly discernment it is totally impossible for us to tell apart the counterfeit from the original. To label what is of God a counterfeit is in itself evidence of lack of discernment and proof that a person is yielding his or herself to Satan’s deception. When we make our conclusions without discernment, we are bound to get things wrong and getting it all wrong is indeed Satan’s primary aim for deceiving people in the world with his wicked lies. To lack discernment and arrogantly conclude that, what is of God is in fact a devilish lie is to completely miss the lesson and point God is trying to show us through the manifestation of His power. The devil of course knows that once we miss the point of the lesson God is trying to teach us through demonstration of His power, then we will automatically judge and make our conclusions from the blind spot arrogant mind-set of self-righteousness and as such no longer willing to embrace God’s righteousness for what it is.

Acts 2:14-20

“But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh:and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come”

If the early disciples for instance as highlighted by Christ in (Acts 1:8), needed to receive Holy Ghost power before they can be made fully ready to witness for Christ as the Messiah and God’s only Begotten Son given unto mankind for remission of sins, then it is obvious that without the same Holy Ghost power it will be impossible for us to genuinely witness for Christ. We need God’s power to overcome our fears and to walk in genuine heart and mind of faith toward God. We see for instance how Peter’s previous fear immediately vanished the moment he received the Holy Ghost power of God. As highlighted in the above Scripture, Peter who once denied Christ three times out of fear for his life following Christ’s arrest suddenly became transformed into a fearless bold disciple who stood and witnessed for Christ in front of the people soon after He received God’s Holy Ghost supernatural powers and couldn’t care less what the people might do to Him.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. (Ephesians 6:12).

The truth of the matter is, if the forces of powers highlighted in the above Scriptures of Ephesians 6:12 are indeed what we are up against, then witnessing for Christ in the world cannot be by ordinary means. It can only be by power and authority of God, which of course is the only power and authority that is above all other powers and authority. When we encounter and receive God’s powers, we witness in the power and authority of the Master Jesus itself. And Satan knows that Christ’s authority and power is indeed the only authority and power that is above all (Ephesians 1:17-23). Satan also knows that unless we truly experience and personally encounter God’s power, it will be impossible for us to grasp or fully understand it and have the total confidence that we need to have in the movement of God’s power.

If our only means of becoming God’s true witnesses is by the impartation of His power to us, then it is obvious to see why Satan in the ages of existence have endlessly inundate the world with his counterfeit powers in order to prevent people from seeing and receiving the true power of God . Sadly, the worst affected area by Satan’s counterfeit power is in fact the Church arena. Today in the Church arena, Satan’s counterfeit powers are carefully masqueraded as God’s power and constantly showcased before people to endlessly memorise the people. Due to the terrible infestation of Satan’s counterfeit powers in the Christendom arena, several people have unfortunately ended up as victims of Satan’s counterfeit powers. And as a result of the aftermath damaging effect suffered by such victims from experiencing Satan’s evil powers, many of these victims have become hardened to the truthfulness of God’s powers and often readily dismissive of any form of power demonstration in the Christendom arena as nothing but counterfeits. Several of these victims have indeed become highly sceptical and extremely hardened toward any act or signs of power demonstration they are privy to witness in the Christendom arena. This attitude of scepticism toward God’s power is of course all part of Satan’s strategy to keep people bound with his lies so they can keep on dismissing Godly truth as lies.

Satan’s worst crimes are all to do with hiding under righteousness banner to commit all kinds of atrocities. And the whole essence of this is to ensure that when a person finally realise he or she has been lied to or deceived by the satanic agents that are masquerading themselves as God’s saints in the Christendom arena, he or she will end up blaming God for the atrocities committed by those satanic agent. Many people today have become extremely hardened toward God’s truth and unwilling to listen to God’s true saints simply because of what a so called Pastor, man or woman who they believe is a savant of the Most High God did to them. They see the evil act of the person masqueraded as God’s agent as an act inspired by God and not the devil. And as such, instead of blaming the devil and humbling seeking God in their heart for Him to reveal His truth to them, they constantly blame God as intended by Satan and in so doing remain limited and bound by his evil lies.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

Spiritual life is indeed all about powers. And whosoever has the Almighty power of God has His dominion authority in all realms. When we have God’s power and operate in it, Satan knows that he is incapable of standing in our way with his counterfeit powers or mess with our minds with his insane ideas. And this is why he desperately seeks for people not to genuinely experience God’s power so he can continually keep them bound with his counterfeit powers.

“And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.

And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go” (Exodus 3:19-20).

God is a God of power and authority. And as Christians, it is important for us to know that Christianity is in fact all about operating in the power and authority that is in the name of Jesus Christ who is the manifestation of God’s authority in Person, righteousness and holy character of God. The forces of evil has powers, which they use to bind people albeit the fact that it is counterfeit and not the original. And they will surely not ordinarily or willingly let the people go except we counteract their evil powers by the original power of God.

The number one problem faced by the Church today is lack of God’s genuine power. Although there are several people who are grounded in principles, due to their lack of direct experience of God’s powers, the knowledge of principles they profess has ended up being a moot subject that we constantly debate on in the Christendom arena to no avail instead of living and operating in the full effects of those principles.

As this year is going to an end, it is important that we pray to God for Him to grant us the privilege of encountering and having His Holy Ghost powers. For without God’s power and authority, it is impossible to truly witnesses for God and help people find genuine deliverance in Christ in a world ruled by determined forces of evil and controlled by the wicked powers of darkness.

I pray God releases His Holy Spirit powers upon His true Church and make us His perfect fearless witnesses in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.
