Our Projects at Freedom House
An overview to some of the projects we currently have on-going.
FHIM Feeds
Through FHIM Feeds we are able to serve the local community with a weekly food bank. Every Saturday we set up a stand in a prominent position in the high street Harlesden.
Established in 2021, after the dramatic increases to the cost of living we all individually felt the impact to our way of living, and also the where there is difficulty in sourcing food. We thought about what are the ways we are able to help those around us and the church, so we started buying food in bulk and taking it out to allow those that need food to have access to some.
We have made it possible for anyone that would like access to food/resources to have it – so there are no barriers of entry to the food.
Since the start, we have made a connection to the … church that receives food from ‘The Harvest Church’. So now we are able to give fresh food and meals along side the canned/long life food that we were purchasing ourselves. On occasion we also are able to provide toiletries like wash goods, sanitary products and dental supplies.
By being consistent in our presence along with the food we are able to connect with the people, we play gospel and also evangelise when possible. To those that request prayers we are able to take them aside and give a word of encouragement and prayer. And even by our open blessing of the food and our time there we engage the people around in the word, making it real and accessible to them, and showing that there is regardless of who they are, that they can access the word if they should want it.
Freedom House School (FHS), Uganda
DAY SCHOOL IN UGANDA
Good education in a Godly centred environment is a vital aspect of a child’s development in life.
We are open to your generosity for sponsorship of pupils at our Freedom House School – Nursery and Kindergarten. The School ethos is to raise a generation of God fearing people. Having the Foundation built on the Word of God. The school is located in an area that is predominantly Muslim but we have their children attending the school and they go back home singing I love Jesus. We thank our Director of Education, Pastor Jude Masadde and his Team of Staff who work Tirelessly to teach and impact these children from Kindergarten to Primary School. God Richly Bless and Reward your Labour of Love invested in this Generation.
Our Partnership with Hope Alliance
Freedom House International Ministries continues to Partner and contribute to the Hope Alliance Mandate for Missions to Africa, especially in the East Africa region presently. We are pleased to update on the Hadassah Health Initiatives in Kumi, Uganda who have moved into their new Premises and are in the process of being upgraded to a Local Government Clinic Standard. Hope Alliance had sponsored part Training for Martin and the Training of Florence through Nursing Schools. Both now Qualified have passionately worked in the setting up of Hadassah, to help provide the much needed Healthcare to the Community.
Hadassah currently provides free medical care to the Elderly and Children in the local Communities. Hope Alliance also provides Free Medical Health Care during the Medical camps at the yearly Missions to these Communities. This includes examinations, diagnosis and medicines including IV Treatments. Hadassah Health Initiatives is currently a 10 bed facility and is requiring Support to raise the needed funds to upgrade the Clinic.
Hope Alliance is currently sponsoring 11 Pastors through Bible College in Uganda, who are in their last semester. Distributing Bibles in both English and the local dialects, supporting young people with school fees and giving hope through the Love of Christ.
Pathway to Life
Pathway to life is a monthly interactive event hosted by Freedom House International Ministries. Each month we tackle a new (of the moment) topic and discuss it amongst a variety of people with our own unique experiences and perspectives.
We believe that together we have the mind of Christ p or more that, as there is one spirit there should be alignment of thought – so we don’t restrict the conversation to a panel of pastors only. In attendance we have Pastors, Apostle, Believers of all stages and even those that don’t believe. And everyone has equal opportunity to give their perspective on the topic. We use this event as a friendly/accessible way for those that have questions to have a platform to ask the questions that may be dwelling with them. And because of the rich mixture of believers hosting and in attendance it can bring enlightenment and clarity to those questions asked.
Established in 2018 , the event was held each month in person up until 2020 when we moved online, adapting to the situation we all found ourselves in. Since then we have continued to host the event online as it makes it possible for those around the world to join the conversation – as members from Uganda, Nigeria have also attended.
We are excited to bring back this in event in 2025 after a pause in scheduling through this year.
